“I don’t think we played our best game.” junior guard Dre Puryear said. “We definitely could have started off better and played stronger.”
Top scorers were Puryear, who scored 15 points, and junior forward Ben Bush, who scored 12, and sophomore guard Brandon Kamga who scored 7.
“The team could have done a lot better,” head coach Andrew Duggan said. “We didn’t show up tonight. We didn’t play very well in any aspect of the game: offense, defense, specials, it doesn’t matter. This is my third year here and this is the most inconsistent we’ve played since we’ve been here.” Duggan showed his frustration at the end of the game. “It feels as if we’re taking two steps forward and one step backward quite a bit,” Duggan said.
“We’re not progressing and improving in the manner we’re supposed to.”
