Voting has opened in Virginia and many residents are waiting in line to cast their votes for the next President of the United States.
This year there are five major presidential candidates. The two most popular candidates are Barack Obama of the Democratic Party and Mitt Romney from the Republican Party. There is also Virgil Goode of the Constitution Party, Gary Johnson from the Libertarian Party, and Jill Stein of the Green Party.
At 6 a.m. South Lakes High School opened as a voting site for residents in the South Lakes Precinct. Voting will end at 7 p.m. tonight.
