Newspaper tree ornament
*Each tree will need about 45cms of newspaper*
.) For the stem: cut a strip of newspaper, roughly 14 inches long and fold it 3-4 times to make it stiffer.
.) Paint the stem in the desired color for the stem of your tree, and cut out a star shape and paint it yellow. Let all paint dry.
.) Paint strips of paint on the newspaper in lines, let dry.
.) After the paint dries, cut the newspaper into pieces about 4-5cms wide
.) Take a wooden pencil and roll the paper around it to make paper straws (make sure you glue the whole straw, not just the end, so when you trim them later they won’t unravel)
.) Lay down the stem onto a table, and glue the star onto the top of stem.
.) Cut down the straws so all seven straws line up into a triangle shape and glue straws to the stem, equal distance away from each other. Leave space at the bottom of the stem to show
.) Apply a little bit glue to the back of the ornament and secure to a hanging ribbon
.) Hang on your tree!
