Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 has been announced to receive a sequel after nearly 25-years.
This remaster combines Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and Pro Skater 4. Previously, the latest installment for the series was the remastered Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, which was released 4-years ago.
Tony Hawk’s namesake video-game series has been well-received by audiences alike and spans generations, as a trailblazer in virtual sports games.
This new installment plans to update the two of the franchise’s most beloved titles from 2001 and 2002. Neversoft had developed the initial majority of the Tony Hawk games, and had made Pro Skater 3 and 4 separately. Right now, the studio behind the remaster’s development is Iron Galaxy, and its publisher is Activision, synonymous with previous titles.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 will feature 4K resolution support, improved textures, smoother animations, and advanced lighting effects, adding an enhanced touch to scenery. Likewise, physics and controls have been refined, allowing for cohesive transitions between tricks and controls.
The remaster retains its retro arcade-style charm, catering to veterans and newcomers alike.
Unfortunately, classic ‘Career Mode’ will not be included in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater: 3 + 4. Instead, it is revamped to 2-minute rounds, and a list of challenges will be assigned. Once a player completes the challenge, they profit and move to the next level. Additionally, ‘Create-A-Skater’ and ‘Create-A-Park’ remain available modes for players seeking personalization.
Skaters included within the roster typically have real-life counterparts, yet few are fictionally created. The same principles also apply to the maps, however, some locations are legitimate or altered, but take inspiration from landmarks. This applies to some of the series’ games.

Tony Hawk’s has been a series recognized for its unique soundtrack across all games. This time around, artists such as Motörhead, Alice in Chains, Gang Starr, Starcrawler, and Adolescents will be featured. There will be a mix of classic and modern tracks included within the game’s soundtrack.
Every OST has a signature style of mixing Ska, Metal, and Punk Rock together.
