Chick-fil-A is known for its delicious chicken sandwiches and friendly service, but what keeps customers coming back are also the exciting seasonal items they offer throughout the year. These limited-time treats provide a delightful twist to their classic menu, and fans eagerly anticipate their return each season.
The first and possibly the most popular seasonal item, is the peppermint chocolate chip milkshake. This festive drink makes its appearance during the holidays, typically starting in November and lasting through early January. The peppermint shake combines Chick-fil-A’s signature “icedream” with bits of peppermint and chocolate, creating a refreshing and indulging treat that is perfect for the winter months.
This milkshake is a popular purchase here at South Lakes. With its bold flavors and refreshing after-kick, students gave the milkshake very positive reviews.
“[It is] my very favorite seasonal item because of the flavorful mix of peppermint and chocolate,” said Senior Taryn Dougherty.
“It has such a refreshing taste because of the mint,” agreed Junior Kelsey Birkland.
The second seasonal treat is another milkshake, the peach milkshake. This shake is available from late May through August. It blends ice cream with real, fresh, peaches. This offers a sweet and creamy way to cool down during the hot summer days.
These next two items are available in the summertime, and they are the smokehouse BBQ bacon sandwich and the watermelon mint lemonade. The BBQ sandwich offers a delicious twist on the classic Chick-fil-A sandwich. It features a grilled chicken breast, colby-jack cheese, lettuce, and bacon, all topped with a zesty brown sugar and pepper blend and smokey BBQ sauce, served on a toasted sweet yeast bun.
“I love the flavor of BBQ and it’s even better when it’s put on a sandwich,” said History teacher Colin Hoffman.
The watermelon lemonade combines classic lemonade with the refreshing flavors of watermelon and mint. It provides a refreshing and unique beverage option for the summer.
“All of the flavors just blend so well together and I already love lemonade on its own,” replied Junior Adrianne Crowe when asked about her favorite seasonal item.
The final seasonal item is the chicken tortilla soup. This hearty soup, available from November through March, includes shredded chicken, navy and black beans, and a blend of vegetables in a white creamy base, topped with seasoned corn tortilla strips. It is the perfect comfort food for the colder months.
These seasonal items not only add variety to Chick-fil-A’s menu, but also create a sense of anticipation and excitement among customers. Whether it’s a festive milkshake during the holidays, or a refreshing lemonade in the summer, Chick-fil-A’s seasonal offerings are a delightful way to enjoy the flavors of each season.
