With Thanksgiving coming up, the Seahawk Sentinel asked South Lakes Seahawks what their favorite Thanksgiving side is. There are a variety of options to choose from including mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, green bean casserole, cranberries, stuffing, and so much more.
Here are the Seahawks responses to this seasonal question:
“Mashed potatoes are my favorite side because they are just so good, creamy, and delicious,” said Junior Jamie Banton.
“My favorite Thanksgiving side is stuffing because of the seasoning. It’s also one of the main staples of Thanksgiving for me,” said Junior Liam Andrews.
Another student also loves stuffing because of the seasoning and seasonal vibes.
“I love stuffing, I enjoy all the aspects of it. It’s a nice warm dish that gives fall vibes,” said Junior Lalia Park.
South Lakes students really seem to love Mac n Cheese at their Thanksgiving table!
“My favorite Thanksgiving meal or dish is Mac n Cheese. I love when my friend’s mom makes it for me and it is one of my favorite foods,” said Junior Simone Duarte.
“Mac n Cheese is what I look forward to because I like sharing it with those who are closest to me,” said Junior Sam Janow when asked what side he enjoys most.
One student isn’t a big fan of traditional Thanksgiving sides, but she does enjoy Turkey.
“I don’t love Thanksgiving food, especially the sides, but I definitely enjoy turkey and being with my family,” said Junior Morgan Kass.
Out of all the many Thanksgiving sides, there are lots of common favorites within South Lakes High School! Many students not mentioned here that were asked this question additionally said sides including mashed potatoes, stuffing, and Mac n Cheese.
