Do you have a dog? Well lucky you because there is a new Salty Paws ice cream bar for your furry friends in Richmond! Salty Paws is open everyday from at 10 AM to 8 PM, but is closed on Tuesdays, which is a good amount of time to be able to give your dogs some treats! You will be able to bring your dog and feed them a variety of pet friendly ice creams that they are sure to enjoy. While your dogs are eating ice cream, you will be able to walk around the store and spoil them with toys. Your dogs will get the full ice cream eating experience which includes the option to eat their sweet treat out of a cone or waffle bowl.
Salty Paws ice cream costs between $4.99 and $6.99, with an additional $1 per topping. The ice cream flavors are maple bacon, vanilla blueberry, peanut butter pumpkin, and peanut butter chip. All the ice cream flavors are low on sugar, so it won’t bother your dog’s stomach. You also will be able to add toppings such as chicken, bacon and liver. Salty Paws will also be launching an ice cream truck, so while you are walking your dog you could run into the Salty Paws ice cream truck for a quick treat.
Salty Paws founder, Suzanne Tretowicz, launched her business with the help of Juliet Seymour in 2018. Since then,they have grown to have 12 franchises nationwide with more to come. Opening up an ice cream bar for dogs in Richmond was a good idea because last year Richmond’s regional tourism created a pet-friendly Richmond campaign which featured more pet friendly attractions, and amenities. Creating this positive environment for pets will definitely help Salty Paws have a successful store opening.
