Scheduled college visits now available for juniors and seniors
Every school year, college visits take place in order to provide juniors and seniors with the information they need to get into the college of their choice.
These visits are a chance for students to learn more about admission requirements along with what different schools have to offer, specific majors, special programs, and study abroad opportunities.
“Typically the representative who comes is also the first person reading the students’ applications at the college level so it is a great chance to make a good first impression,” career center specialist Karen Burke said.
Colleges that attract the highest number of students are usually in-state schools like VCU, UVA, JMU, GMU, and Virginia Tech. The majority of students stay in state.
Students interested in attending any of the information sessions may sign up on Family Connection through Blackboard. Only juniors and seniors are able to sign up.
