South Lakes held the Fusion Dance Company auditions last Wednesday in the auxillary gym. Students from all grades that wished to be involved were required to come with a prepared one minute peace to audition with.

Twenty-eight students total came to audition and while some did hip-hop, ballet and lyrical, others did bachata or jazz.

Dancers had to come with a filled out application and a picture of their face so dance coach Lisa Girdy can review and match up couples for performances.

Girdy held the auditions one by one and when all was over held a group dance.

“I don’t want to waste any time, we’re going to jump right in,” Girdy said. “So when auditions are over be ready to come back in and learn choreography.”
