March Madness has arrived and for many basketball fans filling out a bracket is a remedy to their NCAA syndrome.
“I fill out brackets because it is fun to do one and then see if you were right afterward,” said Senior Eric Raymond. “UNC is my favorite team to win the whole thing. My Mother graduated in 1983, the same year as Michael Jordan.”
Many bracket fillers use various techniques to choose their teams.
“I picked UNC because after looking at it, they are up against Syracuse and I think they have a good chance,” said Math teacher Zachary Carter.
Others utilize the “coin” technique in which pick teams at random based on a coin toss.
“I flipped a coin for every round and ended up with VCU for the win,” said junior Jeffery.
Generally NCAA fans express a vibrant confidence in their bracket and burning anticipation to see outcome of the 2011-2012 Championship.
“I love March Madness because I love to see which team has a shocker and who is going to take the win,” said freshmen Son Huynh. “I picked Kentucky to win because I think they have the best center in all of college basketball and they have great team chemistry,” said Huynh.
