George Mason University’s Best Buddies organization will host the Best Buddies Virginia Valentine’s Day Dance on Friday, Feb. 10.
The dance will be held on the main campus in the Student Union Building from 4:00-8:00 pm. The $5 entrance fee covers unlimited Hard Times Café food and beverages.
All students are welcome to the event. Formal attire is optional.
Special education teacher Rachael Crawford believes the dance exposes high school students to college Best Buddies organizations.
“I think it’s a good way for students, especially seniors, to see that there are Best Buddies groups in college,” said Crawford. “Plus, it’s a ton of fun.”
Best Buddies president Saleh Saeed thinks the dance will be special experience for those in attendance.
“Best Buddies dances are more fun than usual high school dances because they aren’t judgmental, there’s no drama, and you can really be yourself and have a great time.”
