Auditions for the theatre department’s performance of West Side Story will begin Jan. 4 and continue through Jan. 12. Children’s choir and dance, ages 5-13, will be held on Jan. 12 from 5-8 p.m.
Acting try-outs will be Jan. 9, 10, and 12 from 2:15-4:30 p.m. All performers will be expected to sight read from a script to improve. The performer’s picture and resume are also required.
Dance auditions are on Jan. 11 from 5-8 p.m. following a free dance workshop on Dec. 21. Signups for the dance workshop are required. The performer must come prepared with a one minute solo performance, followed by a series of steps given by a choreographer.
Choir auditions will be on Jan. 4 from 4-8 p.m. In addition to prearranging a performance time, singers must come prepared to sing a two to three minute song from West Side Story.
Call backs for all performers will be on Jan. 13 from 2:30-6 p.m.
