Kit, or Kirito, Machida is a staff writer for the sentinel and a senior at South Lakes High School. He is an IB diploma student and is interested in computer science, information systems and technology, and innovative developments. He likes to cook in his free time, is a member of the South Lakes chess club, and enjoys virtual reality. He hopes to pursue a career in computer science or media publication in the field, think the MIT Media Lab. While it’s his first year in journalism, he is optimistic about what he can bring to the table.
