Evan (Senior) and Landon (Senior) Kramer are twins on the South Lakes Varsity Soccer team, and helped lead the team to national champs during their sophomore year. The two of them have been playing together ever since they started soccer 13 years ago.
“My favorite thing is you always have someone to warm up with and just like you have chemistry on the field,” said Evan “sometimes we will just poke fun at each other.”
Growing up together, playing the same sport, sibling rivalry can play a big role in their relationship.
“In big games, me and him, sometimes we argue when the other makes mistakes,” said Evan. “Sometimes we’ll have bad blood during games, but at the end of the day we are twins and we move past it.”
However, being on the same team can be a plus and there are moments of support between the duo
“There’s been a couple of times where I have gotten injured and one time I fainted and he’s always there by my side at all times,” said Landon. “One time he smacked me to wake me up and usually he yells at me if I fall down so it really drives me to be better.”
“I would tell Evan that I’m better than him at soccer and he needs to work on his skills but he’s a really great brother and I appreciate him,” said Landon.
If Evan could say anything to his brother, he would say, “I hope you do good in life.”
The twins have been enjoying playing together for over a decade and will continue to do so in the future.
