On Sunday March 7, the NBA All-Star Game will be going on at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA. Fans voted to determine who should become the team captains for the East and West All-Stars team. The team captains are Kevin Durant (East) and LeBron James (West). 

The East full team is Durant (frontcourt) is joined in the starter pool by the Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo (frontcourt), the Washington Wizards’ Bradley Beal (guard), the Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid (frontcourt) and the Nets’ Kyrie Irving (guard). The West full team is James (frontcourt), the Western Conference starter pool includes the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry (guard), the Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Dončić (guard), the Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokić (frontcourt) and the LA Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard (frontcourt). Celtics forward Jayson Tatum will start the game in place of the injured Durant. Durant will still draft the team, and Tatum will enter the pool of available starters. 

This will be the 70th NBA All-Star game. It will also be the first time that the Taco Bell skills challenge, MTN DEW 3-pt contest, AT&T Dunk contest and the All Star game will be held in one night. The Slam Dunk contest will feature Cassius Stanley (Pacers), Obi Toppin (Knicks) and Anfernee Simons (Trail Blazers). In the Taco Bell skills challenge, the players competing are Chris Paul (Suns), Luka Dončić (Mavericks), Julius Randle (Knicks), Domantas Sabonis (Pacers), Nikola Vučević (Magic) and Robert Covington (Trail Blazers). Lastly, In the MTN DEW 3-pt contest the players competing are Devin Booker (Suns), Jaylen Brown (Celtics), Jayson Tatum (Celtics), Steph Curry (Warriors), Zach LaVine (Bulls) and Donovan Mitchell (Jazz).

The Skills Challenge starts at 5 PM followed by the Three-Point Contest held at 6:3 PM. The Dunk Contest will be held during halftime of the NBA All-Star Game which starts at 8pm.
