Varsity player Jackie Trautman gives the inside scoop on volleyball.

How does your team work together?

We get along really well, but sometimes we have to keep each other focused during practices, we really try to keep each other up during the games so we can play to the best of our ability.

How do you balance volleyball and school work?

Well, everything is pretty insane right now, but I really try to just manage my time well so I can finish all of my work. The hardest part is staying focused so basically I’m trying really hard to just motivate myself to finish my work so I can still attend all of the volleyball events.

Is everyone friends on the team? Do you all get along?

For the most part we, all cooperate and get along. Obviously we’re going to be closer to one or two players but in the end we’re all friends.

How has your season been so far?

It started off really rough, but now we’re actually starting to click, and we’re getting to know each other better. Also, we are starting to win more games, so I think we are getting the hang of it and doing pretty well.
