Soccer and track are moving on to the post-season meets and game
Boys varsity soccer defeated Stone Bridge 5-2 in the first round of the district playoffs and went on to defeat Thomas Jefferson 2-1 in the semifinal.
The final of the Liberty District tournament will be played tonight at 6 p.m. at McLean High School, against Langley.
Track and Field recently competed in L
iberty District Championships at home, with the girls team being crowned Liberty District Champions by over 70 points.
The boys track team came in second to Stone Bridge. Highlights of the meet included sophomore Delaney Wickman winning the 100 meters, 200 meters and the 400 meters.
Many other events were won at districts, such as the girls and boys 4x 800 meter relay. Both qualified for states.
Sophomore Maya Rodriguez won the 100m hurdles and the 300m hurdles. Senior Michael McHugh won the boys 800 meter run.
Girls varsity softball lost in the first round of district playoffs to McLean with a score of 10-0.
Girls varsity soccer lost to Langley in the first round of district playoffs in overtime 6-5 on penalty kicks.
