Varsity boys basketball competed against the Madison Warhawks on Feb. 7 and won 51-47.
Prior to the game, the senior players and managers were recognized in front of family, friends, and peers for their dedication throughout the years.
“I really appreciated all the fabulous support the team received on Senior Night and throughout this season,” said senior varsity point-guard JD Wallace. “I’ve really grown to love my teammates.”
Wallace led the team with 15 points.
The Hype Squad, all dressed in white, waved cutouts of the senior players and managers faces.
“It was an awesome game having everyone dressed in white,” said senior Dylan Clark, one of the Hype Squad leaders. “[The varsity players] are a great group of kids.”
Towards the end of the fourth quarter, the Seahawks were behind until Wallace scored a momentum-shifting three-pointer.
“It was the greatest feeling hitting that three,” said Wallace. “For a second I thought we were going to lose, but I had faith in my team.”
