After spending the day at the JEA/NSPA Minnesota Fall Conference, the Sentinel Staff enjoyed an NCAA rival hockey game between the University of Minnesota Gophers and the St. Cloud State University Huskies. The Gophers won 5-0 at their home stadium, Mariuuci Arena.
“The game was really intense,” said sophomore Kevin Gluck. “I’m really glad University of Minnesota won and they made really outstanding goals. I know they are going to be professionals, and I am glad I got to see them.”
The Gophers- Huskies rivalry is a big event in Minnesota. The game’s intensity was amplified because the Gophers lost the first of the home and away series the night before against the Huskies 4-3.
