One of homecoming week’s annual events, Volleyboys, took place on Saturday, October 15. The games are known for students and participating athletes to bring excitement, rivalries, and spikes.
This year was no exception.
The sophomores faced the freshman at 5 p.m. with the support of the Hype Squad. Before the game, sophomores Josh Forrest and Logan Nasr rallied their team in an inspirational speech which the team carried through the match.
The class of 2014 quickly won two games and secured a victory.
At 6:30 p.m., the highly anticipated junior and senior game began.
The seniors won the first of the three game battle, but the juniors battled back and won the second match.
In a third game to 15, the juniors started with a five-point lead. Suddenly the seniors came back to tie the game. With the juniors in the stands providing fan support, the juniors won the game.
Both the sophomore and junior class were awarded 40 spirit week points for their Volleyball victories.
