The Seahawks experienced another disappointing weekend in sports.
JV field hockey had the first game of the three Friday night games. At George C. Marshall High School, the coin toss marked the beginning of the game at 6:15. Coming into this game, the JV Seahawks were 3-1-3 while Marshall was 0-5. The game ended in a 0-0 tie.
Varsity field hockey’s game began at 7:30. Marshall entered the game with four all-met athletes while the Seahawks only had three.
Marshall came away with the win giving the Seahawks a record of 4-5. Marshall maintained a strong record at 11-1.
Two hours away, the Seahawks varsity football squad took on Louisa County. This was the first game with their new quarterback, sophomore Calvin Vaughn.
The Seahawks lost the away game, but scored more than they had in any other game this season. The final score was 21-19. The Seahawks are now 0-5 while Louisa County stands at 4-1.
This is the second week in a row where Seahawks have lost more than three games.
