Everybody has probably tasted a Cumbl Cookie by now. The huge, irresistible, circular treat that melts in your mouth as you indulge in one of the 200 mouth watering flavors. If you haven’t tried these sweets yet, I am going to share with you my top five favorite Crumbl cookies of all time to narrow down the types to look for.
Crumbl originally started in Logan, Utah in 2017. At first, they only served Chocolate Chip Cookies, but now sell hundreds of different menu items. The chain received very high reviews from people on social media in 2018, which increased business. The store now has over 1000 locations across the world.
Crumbl rotates between six to eight different sweet treats every week. They have a variety of different desserts such as pies, cakes, brownies, and, of course, cookies. As someone who gets a treat almost every week, here are my top five favorite desserts of all time.
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk
Though this is just a basic chocolate chip cookie, it is a classic. It’s great when served with milk, and it tastes good warm or cold. The cookie itself is super soft, and it is not super sweet because of the semi-sweet chocolate chunks. It is sprinkled with sea salt, which gives it a nice contrast to the perfectly balanced sweetness of the cookie. If you’re into the classics, I would recommend this one.
- Blue Monster ft. CHIPS AHOY!
Crumbl never disappoints with their collaborations with other companies. This has the exact taste of a regular Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookie, topped with blue vanilla frosting and a mini Chips Ahoy cookie. I love both chocolate chip cookies and vanilla, so this is a perfect mix of both. The frosting does not take away from the Chips Ahoy cookie taste at all, and the cookie on top is a great touch. If you love the original Chips Ahoy cookies like I do, I would definitely give this a try.
- Cookies and Cream Brownie
Though some people did not like this brownie as much as I did, I stand by my opinion. Brownies are my favorite dessert, and cookies and cream is definitely one of my favorite flavors, so this was like biting into heaven for me. The brownie itself was moist, but did not have a raw consistency at all. The white drop buttercream was a little sweet, so some might find it a little overpowering. The cookie chunks in the middle definitely separated it from a regular brownie, and the chocolate ganache on top sealed the deal for me. Again, this is a super sweet treat which I love, but some might not find it as appealing. If you do love that sweetness like me, I would try this one out.
- Confetti Milkshake
This is just a normal sugar cookie, loaded with rainbow sprinkles inside. It has vanilla cake flavored buttercream on top, along with whipped cream. I do think that whipped cream is a little much, so I took that off when I ate the cookie, but it was extremely satisfying to bite into. The cookie itself was not that sweet, so the buttercream gave it that perfect amount of sweetness. I thought I would not like the consistency of the rainbow sprinkles inside of the cookie, but I didn’t really notice them. If you are a big fan of birthday cake flavored things, I would recommend this cookie.
1.Dirt Cake
Though the name can be a little deceiving, I promise this one is worth trying. This is probably one of my favorite desserts of all time. It is a chocolate cookie rolled in cookies and cream crumble, with a fudge buttercream and gummy worm on top. I was expecting to be overwhelmed by the chocolate taste before biting into this, but it was surprisingly not too sweet. It melted in my mouth, and the gummy worm gave it a nice touch. If you love fudge or brownies like me, I would give this a go.
To some people, Crumbl cookie treats are too sweet or too big. Though this can be true for a few of their desserts, with their constant rotation and wide range of flavors, there is something for everyone. You can start off with a basic treat such as the Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie, and work your way up to something more elaborate such as the tres leches cake. There is no right way to do it, but I highly recommend you try at least one dessert out. As they say, don’t knock it till you try it!
