Famous actress Sydney Sweeney called off her wedding to her fiance, film producer Jonathan Davino. The question of them still being engaged after seven years together appeared in recent weeks when there were reports of Sweeney living separately from Davino.  

Many sources believe their split was due to Sweeney wanting to focus on her career. She has a new season of the popular show Euphoria in the works, she has a lead role in an upcoming movie adaptation of the book The Housemaid, and portrays the real life boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming project. 

“She’s exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects,” the source says of Sweeney.

This surprising break up sparked relationship rumors for Sweeney and her co-star Glen Powell. The two co-starred in the romantic film Anyone But You in 2023 and many fans started shipping them. There were years of fans speculating about their relationship even though it was never true, given that Sweeney was engaged. However, now there could be a possibility for those speculations to come back.

Fans are hopeful that these rumors will become true after it was revealed that Sweeny showed up to Powell’s sister’s wedding this past weekend. Sweeney apparently brought a friend as her date at the wedding, but the actors being seen together sent people into a spiral just like when their film came out. 

Sweeney is looking forward to having time to work and not plan a wedding. Sources say that she felt overwhelmed with the idea of having a wedding, but wasn’t overwhelmed with the idea of booking many more jobs. Sweeney is focusing on her career and is very busy with all her new upcoming projects. Fans like to speculate what may or may not be happening with Powell, but nothing seems to be real so far. The young actress is seen to be at the top of her game right now with many opportunities to film and act in.
