The voting process for Prom Court underwent changes this year.

The junior class council noticed that, in the past, most of the nominated people were already dating couples and decided to change from the previous format of selecting individuals to choosing couples.

“It was a collective decision [by the junior class council],” junior Emma Ferguson said. “We felt like it needed a change and we wanted to make it more diverse. We thought it’d be a better and easier voting system.”

Members of the senior class nominated couples for Prom Court during lunches Thursday, May 14 and Friday, May 15.

The nominees for this year are:
Vanessa Perez and Jack Nicol
Antonia Nagle and Stephanie Huard
Carlie Sigle and Sammy Nazam
Maddy Papile and Logan Nasr
Caitlin Neels and Marc Harrison

Seniors can cast their vote for Prom King and Queen on Blackboard by May 29.
