This winter 2013-14 will go down as one of the snowiest winters since the 2009-10 “Snowmageddeon,” that shut down the school system for more than a week.

While other school administrations have decided to extend school days by 5-10 minutes or taking off spring break days, Fairfax County has decided to keep their makeup day schedule.

Students will have to come to school on April 7 which was a teacher workday but now is a makeup day. April 7-8 will also be back to back blue days. June 23-24 will be makeup days as well. The original date of release for summer was June 20.

Fairfax County has decided to keep the original dates of finals but to extend the SOL testing a week later than originally scheduled.
