The South Lakes Best Buddies Chapter will participate in the annual Audi Best Buddies Challenge Fun Run, beginning at the Washington Monument Saturday, Oct. 19.

Best Buddies is an organization dedicated to connecting students with disabilities to general education students to form friendships.

The 5k Fun Run starts at 6:00 a.m. and will run like an actual 5k race. A concert and pizza party will follow.

Membership in the South Lakes chapter is not a requirement for joining the team. Members and nonmembers of the South Lakes Chapter must raise at least $25 to participate in the race and at least $50 to get a free t-shirt and have a ticket to the post-race concert and pizza party.
