The Annual PTSA Reflections Contest deadline for submission is Oct. 15

The deadline to submit work for this year’s PTSA Reflections Contest is Oct. 15.

This year’s theme is “Believe, Dream, Inspire.” Students can participate by entering an original piece of visual art, literature, music composition, dance choreography, photography, or film production.

This PTSA sponsored event was created to give students a chance to express themselves.

“This is also an opportunity for students to highlight something they really like to do,” PTSA sponsor Molly O’Boyle said. “They will be recognized at the school level and potentially move forward to the district, state and national levels.”

The actual piece of visual art, photography, literature, choreography or film, will be submitted online to mollyoboyle@gmail.com and a hard copy must be submitted with the application form.

The contest’s panel of judges will be made up of professionals in the area who are creative writers, artists, photographers and teachers. The judging rubric can be found online at www.southlakesptsa.org. Each category will have a first, second and third place winner. The first place winner will advance to the district competition.

Details and entry forms can be found at www.southlakesptsa.org.
