Parent Teacher Student Association is teaming up with leadership class to present a film screening of the documentary “Addiction Incorporated,” Friday, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Little Theatre.
This award-winning documentary follows the decision tobacco companies made to make their products addictive and the consequences.
Drug researcher Victor DeNoble is hired by a tobacco company and discovers the addiction ingredients, which leads him to instigate a national campaign to regulate them. The movie reveals the tobacco industry’s attempt to conceal their secrets and silence DeNoble.
Following the film, a question and answering session will occur consisting of eight panelists from various health organizations and Fairfax County, including Reston’s founder Robert E. Simon.
