Cheri Hostetler talks about varsity’s volleyball loss against McLean on Tuesday.

How did you feel about varsity’s performance on Tuesday?

The varsity team played very well against a really tough McLean team.  It was an exciting match and could have ended either way.

What were some of the things that you felt that they could improve on?

We need to improve on serve receive.  When we control the serve receive our team is extremely effective and controls the tempo of the match.

What were some of the things that you thought they did really well on?

The team chemistry is excellent.  They communicate really well on the court and did everything they could do to win the match.  They didn’t hold anything back.  The team was also extremely aggressive with serving, which was a key contributor.

What different strategy might you use in the next game?

We continue to focus on serve receive during the practices leading up to our next match.  We also worked a lot on blocking and digging because we are getting ready to play some really tough and hard hitting teams.
