Jasmine Calderone is a senior who has played tennis ever since she was little, but has decided not to play this year.
What sport did you play?
I played tennis from seventh grade up until now, which is twelfth grade.
When did you start to really enjoy tennis?
When I was younger, my cousin who’s a professional, started to teach me how to play and I realized that I really liked it. However, I stopped playing this year because I wanted to focus on applying for scholarships and getting a job.
Did you ever see yourself as a professional tennis player or advancing with tennis?
Maybe when I was younger I did, but I really just see it as a hobby now. Even though I don’t play anymore, I still play in my free time. I actually just played last weekend and my cousin continues to coach me.
