During any morning event, such as the honor roll breakfast, one food item can always be found next to the bagels and orange juice: donuts.
This deadly breakfast food contains about 35% to 40% of trans fat and can have as much as 300 calories in one donut.
Excessive consumption of donuts can lead to high levels of cholesterol and clogged arteries.
After the body has gone through the night without food, starting the day with empty calories and copious amounts of sugar may not be the most sensible idea. Donuts are not filling and will soon leave the stomach feeling as empty as it was before.
