Distractions can increase the difficulty level of completing homework. Doing homework sporadically with multiple breaks does not prove to be effective for some students.
Though the South Lakes library is closed most of the time, Fairfax County libraries have quiet, clean work space that is available to anybody.
Going to a library is beneficial to students who have difficulty with focus because the environment revolves around work and study. If a student dedicates an hour to focused work at the library, that student will more than likely get better quality work done than if the homework had been done late at night in bed.
Home should be a place to relax and unwind after a difficult school day, and that can be made possible by spending an hour a day at the library.
