The best advice to give right now is to not be a Raven, the football players – not the birds. Sure they have much going for them, like winning the Super Bowl, national fame, and Ray Lewis’ dance moves, but there is one thing they cannot do.
Deal with a little change. Everyone who follows football knows that the Raven’s beat the 49er’s on Sunday night, but unfortunately that win came after losing a 28-6 lead and allowing the 49er’s to gain 17 points in less than 10 minutes.
This shift in the game happened right after an unfortunate power surge which knocked out the lights for half of the stadium, halting the game for thirty minutes. Suddenly, the steam rolling Raven’s found themselves unable to score or even defend against the 49er’s.
The difference is that one team took that break as a way to get their fighting spirit back, while the other lost its edge as soon as its scoring streak was interrupted.
Of course the Raven’s won 34-31, but would it have been a more memorable game if they had kept their stuff together and won 34-6? Yes, yes it would.
