The drama series “The Last of Us” season two kicked off on April 13. New episodes drop every Sunday night at 9pm ET and 6 pm PT. The finale is supposed to drop on May 25, with a total of seven episodes. HBO’s Emmy winning zombie drama series debuted back in 2023, telling a story of a parasitic infection that took over the human race. The show became very popular after its debut because it is based on the famous video game “The Last of Us”.

The main characters Ellie and Joel are living in Jackson, Wyoming in a little town led by Joel’s brother, Tommy. Ellie and Joel are drawn into conflict with each other, but also with a world that is very dangerous and unpredictable. The character Abby is hunting Joel in the new season to get revenge for Joel killing her father. She is part of the Fireflies group that is trying to find a cure for this parasitic disease that is taking over the world.
Actress Bella Ramsey and actor Pedro Pascal have returned to the series, starring roles as Ellie and Joel. Gabriel Luna and Rutina Wesley are also returning to their roles as Tommy and Marie. For the rest of the cast, the series introduced a whole new set of characters. Kaitlyn Dever who is recognizable from “Dear Evan Hansen” or “Booksmart” plays the main antagonist for season two, as Abby. The famous actress Catherine O’Hara that has starred in “Beetlejuice,” “Home Alone,” and “Schitt’s Creek” plays a cynical therapist named Gail. Lastly, Nickelodeon star Isabela Merced who has acted in “Dora the Lost City of Gold” and “Instant Family,” takes on the role of Ellie’s love interest, Dina.
